Nintendo’s next “Direct” broadcast is right around the corner; this time, the stream will focus on the upcoming Wii U title Xenoblade Chronicles X. The game is a spiritual successor to the fantastic Xenoblade Chronicles, which originally came to the Wii, making X one of the Wii U’s most highly anticipated releases. You can catch the stream tomorrow, April 24, at 11:00 a.m. Pacific time in any of these ways:
Interestingly, Nintendo has phrased this event as “a Xenoblade Chronicles X video showcase,” rather than calling it a Nintendo Direct or Xenoblade Chronicles X Direct. That said, what I expect (and hope) to get from the stream is a first look (or listen?) at the English voice acting. If the game’s story is anything like that in Xenoblade Chronicles, it has involved an intensive localization process that includes probably several hours or more of voice work.
After the “video showcase” tomorrow, we’ll be treated to even more goodness in the form of a Nintendo Treehouse presentation. What else can we expect? A solid release date for the game in the West? Only time will tell.
